Digital Transformation: The House of Representatives Accelerates

Chamber of Representatives Advances Institutional and Digital Communication Modernization

The Chamber of Representatives is continuing its efforts to modernize its institutional and digital communication to enhance transparency and dialogue with the media and the national public. This was stated by the Chamber’s president, Rachid Talbi El Alami, during the presentation of the budget proposals for both Houses of Parliament for the 2026 fiscal year before the Finance and Economic Development Committee in Rabat on Friday.

According to Mr. Talbi El Alami, several strategic initiatives have been implemented to strengthen Parliament’s openness to its environment and ensure a broad and reliable dissemination of parliamentary information. Among these actions is the launch of the “Media Box” audiovisual studio, a modern facility aimed at promoting parliamentary activities and bolstering the Institution’s media presence.

The president also emphasized the significant impact of the live broadcast of debates on the 2026 Finance Bill (PLF 2026), which was conducted in strict compliance with the internal regulations approved by the Constitutional Court. The recorded statistics reveal an increasing public engagement: 3.2 million views on Facebook, 355,000 on YouTube amounting to 55,400 hours of viewing, as well as 1.2 million views on Instagram. Additionally, the Chamber’s official channel gained 3,700 new subscribers.

The Flickr platform dedicated to photographic archives reached 20,000 daily views, a clear indicator of the renewed public interest in parliamentary activities and discussions held in committees.

On the technological front, Mr. Talbi El Alami highlighted ongoing efforts aimed at accelerating the digital transformation towards a secure and efficient electronic Parliament. These efforts include:

  • Complete digitization of the legislative process;
  • Integration of artificial intelligence in documentation;
  • Gradual digitalization of parliamentary and administrative procedures;
  • Strengthening of cybersecurity;
  • Enhancement and diversification of the Chamber’s digital presence on its official portal and social media.

These actions are part of a comprehensive modernization strategy aimed at improving institutional efficiency, ensuring the security of systems, and providing citizens with simplified and transparent access to parliamentary information.
