The ONMT Organizes a Roadshow in North America to Promote Morocco

The Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) has announced a significant roadshow taking place in three major cities in North America: Toronto, Boston, and Chicago, from April 7 to 10. The aim of this event is to promote Morocco as an unmissable tourist destination to the leading travel influencers in the region.

A Charismatic and Seductive Initiative

This roadshow, described as a robust charm operation by the ONMT, seeks to bring Morocco into the spotlight for tourism professionals in Canada and the United States. In addition to traditional presentations, immersive workshops will be organized to provide participants with a genuine experience of Morocco. These workshops will offer tour operators and travel agents the chance to discover Morocco’s culture, gastronomy, hospitality, and craftsmanship in an interactive and inspiring manner.

Objective: Transforming Curiosity into Desire and Business

The ONMT aims to create an emotional connection with its target audience to turn initial curiosity into desire and ultimately into business opportunities. The roadshow will not be a mere presentation but a complete immersion in the Moroccan atmosphere, enabling North American tourism professionals to actively engage in promoting Morocco.

Business Meetings and Press Relations

Alongside the workshops, targeted business meetings will be organized to allow hoteliers, destination management companies, and Moroccan operators to meet their North American counterparts. These exchanges will help better understand market expectations and create new partnerships. Moreover, the event will incorporate a strong press relations component to enhance Morocco’s visibility among specialized and general media.

A Favorable Strategic Context

This roadshow comes at a favorable time for Morocco, which has recently launched several new flight routes to North America, including Montreal to Marrakech with Air Transat, New York to Marrakech with United Airlines, and Atlanta to Marrakech with Delta Airlines. These new connections complement the traditional routes offered by Royal Air Maroc, such as Casablanca to New York, Casablanca to Washington, Casablanca to Miami, and Casablanca to Montreal, thereby strengthening air connectivity between the Kingdom and North America.

A Strategy to Strengthen Morocco’s Position

Through this initiative, the ONMT reaffirms its ambition to enhance Morocco’s presence in the North American market, which holds significant growth potential. This effort is part of a broader strategy aimed at establishing Morocco as a major player in global tourism, targeting high-value markets.

Thus, this roadshow represents a key milestone in the ONMT’s efforts to capture the attention of North American tourism stakeholders and position Morocco as a preferred destination for travelers from this region.
