Disability Card: ONCF Launches New Train Discount Initiative

The official launch of a new discount card aimed at facilitating train travel for individuals with disabilities took place on Tuesday in Salé. The event was presided over by Naïma Ibn Yahya, the Minister of Solidarity, Social Integration, and Family; Abdeljabbar Rachidi, the Secretary of State for Social Integration; Abdessamad Kayouh, the Minister of Transport and Logistics; and Mohamed Rabie Khlie, the Director General of ONCF.

According to a statement from ONCF, the ceremony highlighted the ongoing efforts of the Office to ensure equitable, inclusive, and sustainable access to rail services, in line with national directives aimed at promoting the rights of people with disabilities.

This initiative also reflects the deep commitment of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to this group of citizens, aligning with a broader strategy to enhance their autonomy, improve mobility, and facilitate their participation in social and economic life.

In this context, a new agreement was signed to establish a preferential fare that offers a 50% discount to holders of the “Person with a Disability” card, issued by the Ministry of Solidarity, Social Integration, and Family. Additionally, companions of blind or visually impaired individuals will also benefit from a 50% discount.

This agreement reinforces the achievements of the July 23, 2025 accord, aimed at improving the accessibility of rail transport through a participatory process that involves relevant institutions.

The initiative is fully integrated into ONCF’s ESG strategy, which places accessibility, service modernization, and social inclusion at the forefront of its priorities. It signifies a significant advancement toward a modern, inclusive railway system tailored to meet the needs of all citizens.
