A Celebratory Concert of Moroccan Andalusian Music Set for October 26

The Moroccan Association of Andalusian Music (AMMA) is hosting an exceptional musical and cultural event on October 26 at the Ex-Cathedral Sacred Heart in Casablanca, themed "The New Synergy in Moroccan Andalusian Music."

This concert aligns with the association’s mission to promote Morocco’s musical heritage and is organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication, in partnership with Casablanca Events and Animation, and supported by the National Lottery.

The event is poised to leave a lasting impression by celebrating the richness of Moroccan music. Maestro of Andalusian music, Mohamed Briouel, will perform alongside young virtuoso Sanaa Marahati, merging tradition and innovation in an unprecedented performance.

As a key player in promoting Morocco’s musical heritage, AMMA is committed to enriching this legacy while fostering creativity. This concert is part of a series of initiatives aimed at valuing Moroccan music as a medium for intergenerational cultural exchange.

The meeting of these two generations perfectly exemplifies the new synergy of Moroccan music. Mohamed Briouel, internationally recognized for his mastery of the traditional musical school, will blend his artistry with the creative voice of Sanaa Marahati to deliver an authentic and original show. The duo reinvents traditional sounds while incorporating contemporary elements.

Sanaa Marahati expressed her enthusiasm, stating, "Working alongside a master like Mohamed Briouel is a tremendous honor. This collaboration is a chance to present our Moroccan music in a new light."

The National Lottery Management Company (SGLN) has emphasized its commitment to social and cultural initiatives, thereby contributing to the country’s economic and social development.

Fatima Mabchour, Founder and President of AMMA, added, "We are passionately committed to preserving and promoting Moroccan music, a symbol of our rich cultural heritage. This event is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our tradition while opening the door to new creations that will continue to inspire future generations."
