Africa Cup of Nations 2025: Schedule and Match Details

The African Football Confederation (CAF) announced on Friday the complete match schedule for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which will take place in Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026. The tournament will kick off with Morocco facing the Comoros in the opening match, scheduled for December 21, 2025, in Group A.
The inaugural match will be held at the brand new Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat, a stadium that can accommodate 69,500 spectators, making it an ideal venue to launch this prestigious competition. The quarter-final matches will also take place in stadiums located in Rabat, Tangier, Marrakech, and Agadir. The semi-finals will be held in Rabat and Tangier, while the third-place playoff will take place at the Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca. Finally, the grand finale will be contested at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat.
In total, 52 matches will be played over a span of 29 days, celebrating African football and showcasing the talent and passion of teams from across the continent.
Nine stadiums in six cities will host the competition:
- Rabat: Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex (69,500 seats), Al Barid Stadium (18,000 seats), Olympic annex stadium of the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex (21,000 seats), and Prince Heir Moulay El Hassan Sports Complex (22,000 seats)
- Casablanca: Mohammed V Sports Complex (45,000 seats)
- Agadir: Grand Stadium of Agadir (41,144 seats)
- Marrakech: Grand Stadium of Marrakech (41,245 seats)
- Fez: Fez Sports Complex (35,468 seats)
- Tangier: Grand Stadium of Tangier (75,600 seats)
