Air Arabia Maroc Launches New Direct Flight Route Between Rabat and Essaouira

Rabat, April 18, 2025 – Air Arabia Morocco, a leader in low-cost air travel, has launched a new direct flight route connecting the Moroccan capital, Rabat, to the city of Essaouira. This new service, which officially commenced today, April 18, is part of ongoing efforts to enhance air connectivity within the Kingdom.
The inaugural flight ceremony was held at Rabat-Salé Airport, attended by Mr. André Azoulay, advisor to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Mr. Lahcen Essaadi, Secretary of State for Craftsmanship and Social and Solidarity Economy, Mr. Christophe Lecourtier, French Ambassador to Morocco, Mr. Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, and Ms. Laila Mechbal, General Director of Air Arabia Morocco, along with several distinguished guests.
This new route presents significant opportunities for travelers, whether they are business professionals or tourists, while strengthening economic and cultural ties between Rabat and Essaouira. Recognized as one of Morocco’s most iconic tourist destinations, Essaouira captivates visitors with its rich cultural heritage, unique atmosphere, and renowned music festivals that attract guests from both within the Kingdom and abroad.
Starting May 5, flights from Rabat-Salé Airport are scheduled every Monday at 08:40, arriving at Essaouira-Mogador Airport at 09:50. The return flight departs Essaouira at 10:30, landing back in Rabat at 11:35.
On Fridays, departures from Rabat are set for 16:55, arriving in Essaouira at 18:05. The return flight takes off at 18:45, with an arrival back in Rabat at 19:50.
