Al Hoceïma Province Announces Operational Plan for the Return of Citizens Evacuated Due to Weather Conditions

Local authorities in the Larache prefecture announced on Saturday the implementation of an integrated operational plan aimed at facilitating the organized, gradual, and secure return of citizens who had been temporarily evacuated due to the exceptional weather conditions affecting the region.

### A Gradual and Supervised Return

In a statement, the prefecture specified that the plan includes successive phases of return, with dedicated transportation, secure routes, and on-ground supervision to ensure the safety and smooth execution of the operation.

The return of residents will commence on Sunday, February 15, 2026, for certain areas of the city of Ksar El Kebir, specifically:

– Bab Oued – Medina neighborhood and Ghrassa Benjelloun neighborhood (Administrative Delegation 1)
– Charia – Medina neighborhood (Administrative Delegation 2)
– Salam neighborhood (Groups D, E, W) and Nouveau neighborhood (Groups A and B) (Administrative Delegation 3)
– Nahda, Saada, Salama, Old Camp, Al Massira, Ad Dukhane neighborhoods (Administrative Delegation 4)
– Arouba, Salam, and Nouveau neighborhoods (Administrative Delegation 5)
– Chouhada, Manakib, and Abi Al Mahassin neighborhoods (Administrative Delegation 6)

### Free Transportation to Facilitate Return

To assist with this operation, free trains will depart from Tangier-Ville station to Ksar El Kebir beginning at 7:00 AM on Sunday, February 15, 2026. Additionally, free buses will be provided from various locations in the city to transport affected individuals, ensuring a safe and organized return.

### Security Measures and Official Communications

Local authorities remind citizens not to return to areas not mentioned in this statement until an official notice is issued, until water levels permit safe access and suitable conditions for reception.

Control measures will be established at the entrances of the affected areas to verify that only authorized individuals participate in the return, thereby ensuring a secure and orderly management of the operation.
