Al Qasr Al-Kabir: Partial Resumption of In-Person Classes Following Improvement in Weather Conditions

In-Person Classes Resume in Al Qasr Al-Kabir
On Monday, February 16, in-person classes resumed at several educational institutions in the city of Al Qasr Al-Kabir, following improved weather conditions in the region.
A Well-Organized and Safe Resumption
According to the Provincial Directorate of the Ministry of National Education, Primary Education, and Sports in Larache, this decision followed recommendations from the provincial monitoring cell and a field assessment of the preparations at the institutions regarding safety and reception.
The first phase involved 24 educational institutions, including 15 primary schools, 4 middle schools, and 5 high schools, to ensure a well-organized and safe return of students to their classrooms.
Educational and Psychological Support
Mohamed El Baali, the provincial director of the Regional Academy of Education and Training in the Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima region, stated that the administration had implemented a comprehensive program for educational and psychological support for all students returning to class. Specialized teams in social work and educational counseling have been mobilized to provide the necessary psychological support.
From an educational perspective, the director clarified that the regional educational support program aims to catch up on missed classes during the suspension period, thereby ensuring the continuity of the academic year and the effectiveness of learning.
Creative Activities and Support Programs
For his part, Mohamed Kharbach, the director of the Wadi Al-Makhazin institution in Al Qasr Al-Kabir, indicated that the institution had developed a comprehensive psychopedagogical support program focused on revitalizing school life through various creative activities. The program includes cultural, artistic, and recreational workshops, such as plastic arts, music, and theater, as well as language support workshops.
Ongoing Monitoring and Coordination with Other Institutions
Anas Chabibi, a teacher at Tariq Ibn Ziyad Middle School, emphasized the constant support provided to students from the first day of the suspension of in-person classes. This support has addressed social and logistical aspects, with individualized monitoring of students and coordination with other institutions to accommodate those affected by the disruptions.
Gradual Return and Future Planning
This partial resumption is part of the commitment to ensure educational continuity while safeguarding the safety of students and educational staff. The return to school is occurring in a gradual manner according to the specific needs of each institution, and the schedule for other institutions in Al Qasr Al-Kabir will be communicated later.
