Arab Cup 2025: Draw Between Morocco and Oman (0-0)

Morocco’s National Team Ends in a Goalless Draw Against Oman

In a closely contested match from start to finish, Morocco’s A’ team ended in a scoreless draw (0–0) against Oman.

The Moroccans showed intent right from the early minutes, launching numerous crosses and shots, yet they failed to capitalize on their opportunities. The first half was predominantly Moroccan, highlighted by a series of attempts from El Karti, Saâdane, El Moussaoui, and Hamed-Allah. The Lions generated several dangerous chances, including three off-target headers from Saâdane (30’, 45’) and a powerful shot from Hamed-Allah that was parried away by the Omani goalkeeper (38’).

Despite their clear dominance, Morocco struggled with precision in the final touch. Oman, lacking in offensive strength, managed to make only one notable effort—a long-range shot from Al Yahmadi (6’).

The second half took an unexpected turn very early on when Abderrazzaq Hamed-Allah was sent off in the 53rd minute for a deemed excessive foul. Reduced to ten players, the Lions faced challenges but continued to create opportunities, including a dangerous header from El Karti right after halftime (47’). Oman, on their part, sought to exploit their numerical advantage with two attempts from Musab Al Maamari (51’, 68’), both missing the target.

As the match drew to a tense close, Morocco pressed on despite their disadvantage, accumulating corners and a last-shot attempt from Saâdane (90’) that nearly clinched victory. However, their lack of offensive realism proved costly.
