Autism Africa Congress 2025: An Unmissable Meeting for Inclusion

From April 10 to 12, 2025, the Mohamed VI Theatre in Oujda will host the second edition of the Autism Africa Congress, a significant event aimed at promoting the inclusion of individuals living with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Organized under the auspices of UNESCO, this congress will bring together health professionals, researchers, families, and organizations around a common goal: to raise awareness, share knowledge, and take action for a more inclusive society.
Two years after a successful inaugural edition in Cameroon, this congress has established itself as a key space for sharing experiences, reflection, and concrete proposals regarding the diagnosis, care, and integration of autistic individuals, particularly within the African context. The 2025 edition is driven by an ambitious agenda: to develop and present an African Charter on the Rights of Autistic Individuals. Supported by UNESCO, this document aims to influence public policies, with the hope of being presented to the United Nations to facilitate the implementation of measures tailored to African realities.
The program will include discussions on critical issues such as improving diagnostic processes, supporting autistic individuals throughout their lives, and promoting full inclusion in educational, professional, and cultural fields. This congress aims to serve as a transformative platform, acting as both a space for reflection on challenges and a driver of change for the inclusion of autistic individuals in society.
AXA Services Morocco, the official partner of this event, exemplifies its commitment to the values of inclusion and solidarity. By supporting the Autism Africa Congress, the company reaffirms its role as a catalyst in promoting social responsibility. Its involvement goes far beyond mere sponsorship. The company conducts internal awareness programs, develops specific support initiatives, and strengthens its ties with organizations active in the field of autism. Saad Alami, Director of General Affairs at AXA Services Morocco, states: “Our ambition is to contribute to a more equitable and supportive society by supporting initiatives that foster access to health, education, and employment for all.”
Through this partnership, AXA Services Morocco highlights its belief that the inclusion of autistic individuals cannot be decreed, but rather must be patiently built, with consistency and commitment, in close collaboration with stakeholders and tailored to the needs of those involved.
The Autism Africa Congress 2025 will thus be a pivotal moment for enhancing synergies among sector actors, providing concrete solutions, and advancing the inclusion of autistic individuals across the African continent.
