Bahrain’s Defense Forces Intercept 143 Missiles and 242 Drones Amid Increasing Tensions with Iran

The General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force announced on Saturday that its air defense systems have intercepted and destroyed 143 missiles and 242 drones since the onset of attacks attributed to Iran.

In a statement reported by the official news agency, authorities indicated that they continue to face successive waves of attacks, noting that the use of ballistic missiles and drones against civilian targets and private property constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter.

The command also emphasized that these attacks pose a direct threat to regional peace and security, especially against the backdrop of heightened tensions in the Middle East.

These developments come as several Arab countries, including Bahrain, are grappling with attacks linked to rising tensions with Iran, prompting widespread condemnation from diplomatic, political actors, and international organizations calling for immediate de-escalation.
