Bahrain: One Killed and Two Injured by Missile Shrapnel

The Bahraini Ministry of Interior announced on Monday, March 2, 2026, the death of one person and the injury of two others due to debris from an intercepted missile falling within the country.
Details of the Incident
According to an official statement, the accident occurred following a fire on board a foreign vessel undergoing maintenance in the industrial city of Salman, located in the northeastern part of Bahrain. Missile fragments resulted in the death of an Asian worker and left two others severely injured. Rescue teams were able to manage and completely extinguish the fire.
Bahraini Air Defense
The General Directorate of Defense Forces of Bahrain confirmed that its air defense systems successfully intercepted several Iranian attacks. In total, 61 missiles and 34 drones were destroyed or neutralized successfully.
