Benzema: “Al-Hilal is the Real Madrid of Asia”

French international striker Karim Benzema has compared his new club Al-Hilal to Spanish giants Real Madrid in his first comments after joining the Saudi football league leaders.
Positive First Impressions
In a video released on Al-Hilal’s official account, Benzema, who transferred from Ittihad on an 18-month contract, stated:
“It’s an incredible feeling. I feel good. I’m happy to be here after my first training session.”
He continued, “I’ve met the team and the coach. I’m very happy to be part of this club. It’s a great team with an impressive history, having won numerous titles.”
A Comparison with Real Madrid
Benzema expressed that Al-Hilal feels like the Real Madrid of Asia to him, declaring, “Al-Hilal is the Real Madrid here in Asia; everything is perfect.”
It’s worth noting that Real Madrid holds the record for the most Champions League victories, with 15 titles, while Al-Hilal is the most successful club in the Asian Champions League with four crowns.
