BTP 2026: Kayouh Unveils Investment Projects

On Tuesday, April 7, 2026, the Minister of Transport and Logistics, Abdessamad Kayouh, participated in an informative day dedicated to the preliminary program of public construction and engineering contracts for 2026, held in Rabat.

This event took place alongside the Minister of Equipment and Water, Nizar Baraka, under the theme: “The BTP Ecosystem in Service of Integrated and Resilient Territorial Development”.

A Meeting Dedicated to the Development of the BTP Sector

Organized by the Ministry of Equipment and Water, this day is part of the commitments outlined in the program agreement signed between the government and professionals in the BTP sector.

The aim is to strengthen dialogue between public and private players regarding investment prospects and the sector’s support needs.

A Space for Exchange on Investment Opportunities

In his speech, Abdessamad Kayouh emphasized that this meeting represents an important opportunity to discuss significant investment opportunities and the development prospects for the sector.

The minister stressed the need to enhance the integration of the BTP ecosystem within a coherent and sustainable territorial vision.

Structural Projects in Transport and Mobility

Addressing the achievements of 2025, the minister highlighted several key projects launched under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

Among these projects is the high-speed rail line connecting Kénitra to Marrakech, along with significant rail projects in the Hay Hassani district of Casablanca.

Sustained Growth in Transport in Morocco

The minister also presented key indicators for the sector, noting that railway transport reached 55.6 million travelers in 2025, marking a 1% increase compared to 2024.

Similarly, air traffic experienced robust growth, with 36.4 million passengers recorded at the country’s airports during the same year.

A Territorial Vision for Resilient Infrastructure

The discussions brought together regional directors of Equipment, Transport, and Logistics, who presented major investment projects planned for 2026 across various regions of the Kingdom.

Participants emphasized the importance of territorial dimensions as leverage for development, as well as the central role of public investment in creating integrated and resilient regional ecosystems.

Broad Participation from Sector Stakeholders

This informative day gathered representatives from professional federations, organizations within the BTP sector, and both public and private institutions.

It confirms the authorities’ commitment to enhancing coordination among stakeholders to support the territorial and economic development dynamics of the Kingdom.
