CAF Champions League: Mamelodi Sundowns Reach Final After Draw Against Al-Ahly

The South African club Mamelodi Sundowns has qualified for the African Champions League final after drawing 1-1 with the defending champions Al-Ahly at the Cairo International Stadium on Friday in the return leg of the semifinals.
The Egyptians took the lead through Mohamed Tahar in the 25th minute, but the visitors scored the decisive goal for qualification thanks to Al-Ahly defender Yasser Ibrahim, who scored an own goal in the 90th minute.
In the first leg in Pretoria, both teams played to a goalless draw (0-0).
Mamelodi Sundowns will face the winner of the two-legged tie between Pyramids FC (Egypt) and Orlando Pirates (South Africa) in the final. The first match ended in a draw (0-0) at the Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg. The first leg of the final will take place on Saturday, May 24, while the second leg is scheduled for Sunday, June 1.
