CAN Maroc-2025: Cameroon Advances to Quarterfinals by Defeating South Africa (2-1)

CAN Morocco 2025: The Cameroon team has joined the Moroccan squad in the quarter-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) by defeating South Africa 2-1 in the round of 16 on Sunday at Al Madina Stadium in Rabat.

Cameroon’s victory was secured with goals from Junior Tchamadeu (34th minute) and Christian Kofane (47th minute). Sekotori Makgopa scored a late goal for the South Africans in the 88th minute.

The Indomitable Lions will face the Atlas Lions in the quarter-finals, who advanced after a goal from Brahim Diaz in the 64th minute against Tanzania.
