CAN U17: Ivory Coast Joins Morocco in Semi-Finals

The Ivorian national team has joined Morocco in the semifinals of the Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON U17), defeating the defending champions from Senegal in a tense match that ended in a stalemate (0-0) and was decided by a penalty shootout, with a final score of 5-3 in favor of Côte d’Ivoire on Friday at the municipal stadium in Berrechid.

The Morocco-Côte d’Ivoire semifinal is set to take place next Tuesday in Mohammedia at 8:00 PM GMT+1.

On Thursday, both Morocco and Burkina Faso secured their spots in the semifinals, overcoming their opponents with respective scores of 3-1 against South Africa and 6-1 against Zambia.

The final quarterfinal match will see Tunisia face Mali later tonight at the El Abdi Stadium in El Jadida.
