CAN U20: Morocco Reaches Semi-Finals and Qualifies for the World Cup After a Valuable Victory Against Sierra Leone

The Moroccan U20 team has successfully qualified for the semi-finals of the Africa U20 Cup of Nations (CAN U20), after an impressive victory over Sierra Leone, securing a 1-0 win in extra time on Monday evening in Cairo during the quarter-finals held at the 30 June Stadium.

After a scoreless regular time, the match was decided by an unfortunate own goal from Amara Keita in the 115th minute, which granted victory to the Lionceaux de l’Atlas. This triumph not only propels them into the tournament’s final four but also ensures their direct qualification for the U20 World Cup set to take place in Chile from September 27 to October 19, 2025.

In the semi-finals, Morocco will face the winner of the match between Egypt and Ghana, a showdown that promises to be thrilling as they compete for a place in the final of this continental edition.
