Casablanca Stock Exchange Opens Higher on Thursday
The Casablanca Stock Exchange opened on a positive note Thursday, with its benchmark index, the MASI, rising by 0.7% to reach 17,277.75 points.
The MASI 20, which reflects the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, also saw an increase of 0.69%, climbing to 1,318.99 points. Meanwhile, the MASI ESG, which tracks companies with the highest ESG ratings according to Moody’s ESG Solutions, gained 0.66% to settle at 1,187.91 points.
In addition, the MASI Mid and Small Cap index, which measures the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises, rose by 0.65% to 1,746.9 points.
On Wednesday, the MASI had closed with a gain of 1.51%.
