Casablanca Stock Exchange: Positive Start to Trading
The Casablanca Stock Exchange opened its trading this Tuesday on a positive note, with the main index “MASI” rising by 0.37% to reach 19,077.69 points, following a 1% decline on Monday.
Performance of Sectoral Indices and ESG
The “MASI.20” index, which reflects the performance of 20 listed companies, increased by 0.6%, reaching 1,487.91 points. Meanwhile, the “MASI.ESG” index, comprising the best-rated companies in terms of environmental and social governance, recorded a rise of 0.77% to 1,297.65 points. The “MASI Mid and Small Cap” index, representing small and medium capitalizations, gained 0.15% to reach 1,884.13 points.
Stocks on the Rise
Among the best-performing stocks, “CMGP” recorded the highest increase (+1.87% to 382 MAD), followed by “Desti Technology” (+0.86% to 339.9 MAD), “Résidences Dar Saada” (+0.76% to 166.75 MAD), “Managem” (+0.65% to 8,200 MAD), and “Cartier” (+0.12% to 33.73 MAD).
Stocks on the Decline
Conversely, “Réalisations Mécaniques” saw the largest drop (-8.21% to 445.2 MAD), followed by “Stockfis Afrique du Nord” (-2.73% to 92.5 MAD), “Atlanta Sand” (-1.9% to 144.2 MAD), “Transport” (-1.7% to 52.1 MAD), and “HighTech Payment Systems” (-1.61% to 551 MAD).
