On December 18, Casablanca hosted the opening of the International Mining and Quarrying Exhibition (SIMC), highlighted by the announcement of participation from several major Chinese industrial groups, including XCMG, Sany Heavy Industry, Zoomlion, and China State Construction Group. According to promotional materials shared by the organizers and relayed by Chinese professional platforms, “the Moroccan international exhibition of construction and mining machinery has kicked off in Casablanca, featuring leading Chinese brands such as XCMG, Sany Heavy Industry, Zoomlion, and China State Construction Group.”
Chinese Participation and Displayed Equipment
According to Chinese industry sources, the participation of Chinese companies covers a wide range of industrial equipment. The organizers specify that “exhibiting companies present construction machinery, mining machines, lifting equipment, and solutions tailored for large infrastructure projects.” XCMG, Sany Heavy Industry, and Zoomlion are among the manufacturers specializing in earthmoving equipment, cranes, and heavy construction machinery, while China State Construction Group primarily focuses on engineering and executing large-scale projects. The booths of these groups showcase machines designed for African markets, featuring specifications that take local operating conditions into account.
A Hub for Networking among Construction and Mining Professionals
The SIMC has established itself as a professional platform dedicated to stakeholders in construction, quarries, and mining, fostering both commercial and technical exchanges. According to official documentation, “the exhibition covers all the equipment necessary for construction and mining projects, from extraction machines to site equipment.” Throughout the event, there will be demonstrations of machinery, as well as meetings among professionals.
The hosting of this exhibition in Casablanca solidifies the city’s position as a regional hub for industrial events, attracting both international manufacturers and local operators seeking technical solutions for their construction and mining projects.
