China Voices Support for U.S.-Iran Ceasefire Agreement

On Wednesday, China expressed its support for the ceasefire agreement reached between the United States and Iran, which follows the announcement of a two-week truce made just hours before the expiration of a deadline set by U.S. President Donald Trump.

Beijing’s Positive Reception

During a press conference, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning stated that her country “welcomes the announcement from the parties involved regarding the ceasefire agreement.”

She also emphasized that China will continue its efforts to promote peace and stability in the Middle East, reaffirming its diplomatic role in encouraging dialogue and easing tensions in the region.
