Cold weather with localized frost in the highlands
The General Directorate of Meteorology has announced that on Tuesday, February 24, the weather will remain relatively cold during the morning and night, with localized frost formation in several regions, particularly in the mountainous areas, the eastern highlands, and the southeast of the Kingdom.
Low Clouds and Local Fog
Dense low clouds are expected, accompanied by mist or very light local showers, mostly affecting the northern and central Atlantic coasts as well as the Mediterranean front.
Winds and Dust in the South
Moderate to local gusts of wind are forecasted in the southern provinces, which may lead to the suspension of dust in certain areas.
Temperatures
Minimum temperatures will range from -2 to 5°C in the Atlas mountains, from 4 to 9°C in the eastern highlands and the Rif, and from 13 to 19°C in the southern provinces, central coasts, and the Souss region. Elsewhere, minimum temperatures will be between 9 and 14°C.
During the day, a slight increase in temperatures is expected near the northern Atlantic coasts, while they will remain stable or decrease slightly in other regions.
Sea Conditions
The sea will be calm in the Mediterranean, slightly rough to rough in the strait, and choppy along the Atlantic coasts, while remaining calm to slightly rough between Tarfaya and Laâyoune.
