Combatting Illegal Connections: A Campaign in Sidi Slimane

Campaign Against Illegal Electrical Connections in Sidi Slimane
The Rabat-Salé-Kénitra Multiservice Regional Company has announced in a recent publication that it conducted a field campaign aimed at combating illegal electrical connections in a locality within the Sidi Slimane province. This initiative is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to ensure a safe, fair, and sustainable public service, in collaboration with local authorities.
According to the same source, this operation, carried out by the company’s technical teams, successfully identified over 500 cases of fraudulent connections. The company emphasized that such practices pose serious risks to the safety of individuals and property, negatively affecting the quality and continuity of the electrical supply, as well as the overall efficiency of the network.
Following this action, and in consultation with provincial authorities, it has been decided to continue and enhance these types of interventions on the ground, with a particular focus on raising awareness among households that are not equipped with electrical meters.
The Rabat-Salé-Kénitra Multiservice Regional Company further clarified that this initiative aims to encourage the affected users to regularize their situations in accordance with current regulations. This step is intended to facilitate the reconnection of electricity under safe and legal conditions, ensure the continuity of service in compliance with safety standards, and improve the overall efficiency of the electrical network.
