Doctors Call for the Development of a Roadmap for Improved Care of Patients with Blood Disorders

Masterclass on Hemostasis: A Landmark Event in Marrakech
The Faculty of Private Medicine in Marrakech, in partnership with the Promalab Foundation for Health Diagnostics, held an exceptional scientific meeting titled "Masterclass on Hemostasis" focusing on coagulation disorders, thrombosis, and bleeding. This event took place on May 15 and 16, 2025, in Casablanca.
The presentations from both Moroccan and international physicians, along with hematology experts from Morocco, highlighted the complexities involved in managing blood coagulation disorders. These conditions, which can lead to bleeding or thrombosis, pose a significant public health challenge. Practitioners consistently face difficulties in their daily clinical management of these disorders. They can be hereditary, such as hemophilia or von Willebrand disease, or acquired due to pregnancy, cancer, surgical interventions, interventional procedures, or the use of anticoagulants. The increasing prevalence, challenging diagnoses, and complex treatments make these disorders a critical focus for healthcare professionals.
Dr. Bouchra Mallaki, director of the Promalab Foundation, emphasized that "this exceptional masterclass on hemostasis, held on May 15 and 16 in Casablanca, is a scientific event dedicated to bleeding disorders and coagulation diseases, bringing together an elite group of specialized physicians and national and international experts." She noted that this meeting serves as an opportunity for multidisciplinary collaboration, with participation from public, private, and military sectors. It aims to update medical knowledge and propose avenues for improving patient care pathways. The event will also facilitate the development of a clear roadmap involving key stakeholders in the healthcare sector to unify best practices and enhance the quality of care offered in the country.
Dr. Mallaki further stated that the masterclass aims to modernize medical knowledge and bring concrete improvements to the current state of patient management while fostering coordination among various stakeholders in the healthcare system to advance clinical practices.
The multidisciplinary scientific meeting gathered an elite assembly of specialists and both national and international experts from the public, private, and military sectors to share the latest scientific advancements, clinical experiences, and recommendations from scientific bodies. This was expressed through interactive and thematic sessions, forming a comprehensive "roadmap" of recent discoveries.
The masterclass distinguished itself through an innovative format that included interactive sessions, expert participation, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and expert committee coordination, all aimed at updating knowledge and organizing optimal therapeutic pathways. Through these in-depth discussions, clear and effective action plans will be established, incorporating various healthcare system stakeholders and proposing precise measures to improve the quality of patient care.
This meeting also provided an opportunity to establish a coherent national network of best practices, thanks to multi-dimensional consultations that brought together essential actors from various fields, aiming to enhance the management of these specific diseases within the country.
