Strengthening Moroccan-Emirati Cooperation in Civil Aviation
The enhancement of Moroccan-Emirati cooperation in civil aviation was the focus of discussions on Monday in Dubai between Abdessamad Kayouh, Morocco’s Minister of Transport and Logistics, and Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director General of the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority.
This meeting took place on the sidelines of the 19th edition of the Dubai Airshow, a major international event that brings together decision-makers, experts, and industry leaders in aviation.
A Strategic Partnership Praised by Both Countries
The two officials commended the exemplary relations between Morocco and the UAE, highlighting the significant advancements made in the field of civil aviation.
They also discussed prospects for strengthening technical cooperation, particularly through:
the exchange of expertise between the civil aviation authorities of both countries,
enhancing training and qualification programs,
expanding institutional collaborations.
Emirati Support for Morocco’s Candidacy to the ICAO
Abdessamad Kayouh praised the continuous support of the UAE for Morocco’s candidacy for a permanent seat within the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
He also noted that an invitation has been extended to the Emirati side to visit Morocco to further enhance exchanges, particularly by establishing programs for the exchange of technicians and aeronautical experts.
A Strong Moroccan Presence at the Dubai Airshow 2025
The 19th edition of the Dubai Airshow 2025 brings together over 150 countries and international players in aeronautics. Morocco is participating with a high-level delegation led by the Minister of Transport and Logistics.
Morocco’s presence is further strengthened by the pavilion of the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE), which showcases the expertise of Moroccan companies in the aeronautics sector and their partnership opportunities.
