A fire at a hotel construction site in Busan, a port city in southeastern South Korea, has resulted in the tragic deaths of six workers and injuries to seven others, as reported by the Yonhap news agency.

The blaze broke out around 10:50 AM local time, likely due to insulation materials stored near a pool located on the first floor of the building, according to local firefighters. Rescue teams deployed helicopters to save workers trapped inside, but unfortunately, six individuals were pronounced dead following the operation.

Additionally, fourteen other workers were safely evacuated from the roof of the building, while more than a hundred managed to escape the site.
