Friday Weather in Morocco: Rain, Strong Winds, and Snowfall in the Mountains

The General Directorate of Meteorology forecasts relatively cold weather for this Friday morning and nighttime, particularly in the mountainous regions of the Atlas and Rif, as well as in the southeast of the country and the eastern high plateaus.
Occasional Thunderstorms Expected in Various Regions
According to the forecasts, occasional thunderstorms are expected over the Middle Atlas, Rif, the Tangier region, Loukkos, Saïss, and northern Gharb.
Rain or showers will also affect the High Atlas and its western slopes, including the phosphate plateaus and Oulmès, the northern Atlantic plains, and the eastern Mediterranean coastline.
Light Rain and Snowfalls
Light rain is also anticipated in the central Atlantic plains and northern regions in the east. Additionally, snowfall is expected on the peaks of the Atlas and Rif mountains due to the drop in temperatures.
Strong Winds and Duststorms
Strong gusts of wind are also expected in the northwest of the country, the Middle Atlas, and the Rif, as well as in Saïss, the Mediterranean coastline, Oriental regions, central coasts, and the northern southern provinces, accompanied by local dust storms.
Temperatures Declining
Minimum temperatures will range between -6 and 2°C in the Atlas mountains, between -1 and 6°C in the Rif, the high plateaus, and the southeast.
Temperatures will fluctuate between 12 and 17°C in the interior of the southern provinces and near the central and southern coasts, and between 6 and 12°C in the rest of the country.
Maximum temperatures are expected to slightly decrease in the northern and central regions, while an increase is forecasted elsewhere.
Sea State
Regarding the sea conditions, it will be slightly to moderately choppy in the Mediterranean and the Strait, rough to very rough between Cape Spartel and Tarfaya, and choppy to rough along the rest of the Moroccan coastline.
