Friday’s Weather: Significant Cold in the Mountains and a Rise in Daytime Temperatures

Weather Forecast for Friday, April 3, 2026
The General Directorate of Meteorology predicts a generally cold weather pattern in the mountainous regions this Friday, April 3, 2026. However, temperatures are expected to rise throughout the day in most regions of the Kingdom.
Notable Chill in the Morning and at Night
Temperatures will be particularly low in the Atlas and Rif mountain ranges, as well as in the high plateaus, especially during the morning and evening hours, which will enhance the feeling of cold in these areas.
Low Clouds and Light Localized Rain
Dense low clouds are anticipated, accompanied by light, localized rain on the northern Atlantic plains and the northwest of the Saharan provinces. The sky will generally be mostly clear to partially overcast in the extreme south of the country.
Gusty Winds and Dust Devastation
Strong gusts of wind are also expected along the central coast and in the southern provinces, which may lead to local dust storms and reduced visibility.
Decreasing Nighttime Temperatures; Daytime Increases
Minimum temperatures will range from -6 to -2°C in the Atlas mountains, from 2 to 4°C in the Rif and Oriental regions, from 16 to 23°C in the southeast and south of the country, and from 6 to 12°C in other areas. Conversely, maximum temperatures will see an increase in most regions.
State of the Sea
The sea will be calm to slightly choppy in the Mediterranean and the Strait, and moderately choppy to choppy north and south of Larache.
