Fuels: New Price Increase in Morocco Effective March 16

Fuel prices in Morocco are set to rise again starting Monday, March 16. According to several industry professionals, the price of diesel fuel will increase by approximately 30 cents per liter, while gasoline is expected to rise by around 50 cents.
This increase comes amidst ongoing fluctuations in international energy markets, particularly related to the changing price of crude oil and logistical costs.
After several weeks of relative stability, this upward revision will likely be reflected in the prices displayed at gas stations across the Kingdom.
Since the liberalization of the sector in 2015, fuel prices have been determined freely by distributors, based on international market trends and import costs.
This new price hike is likely to reignite discussions about the impact of fuel costs on household purchasing power and transportation expenses.
