Gala Dinner of the “Fashion Trust Arabia” in Marrakech

A Night of Glamour in Marrakech: The Fashion Trust Arabia Gala
On Thursday evening, Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa and H.E. Sheikha Al Mayassa Bint Hamad Al Thani presided over the Fashion Trust Arabia gala dinner at the El Badii Palace in Marrakech, as part of the Qatar-Morocco Cultural Year 2024.
Upon arrival, Princess Lalla Hasnaa was welcomed by Sheikha Al Mayassa and Ms. Tania Fares, the event’s vice president, before reviewing a contingent of the Auxiliary Forces. Several political figures, including Moroccan ministers and the Qatari ambassador, were also present to greet the dignitaries.
The evening commenced with a tour of Tala Hadid’s photography exhibition, followed by a video showcasing key moments from Fashion Trust Arabia. During her speech, model Imaan Hammam emphasized the significance of the event in encouraging and promoting designers from the Middle East and North Africa while highlighting the cultural richness of Marrakech.
H.E. Sheikha Al Mayassa pointed out that this event is being held for the first time in Africa and announced the establishment of the "Qatar Fashion Craft Council," aimed at supporting creativity in the Arab world. She also highlighted Fashion Trust Arabia’s ambitions to connect Arab talents with the creative industries.
Ms. Tania Fares spoke about the community of creators and stylists fostered by this event, which has become an internationally recognized platform. Additionally, Isha Ambani announced that India will be the honorary country of the Fashion Trust Arabia for 2025.
During the ceremony, several awards were presented to designers, with Princess Lalla Hasnaa granting the first prize in the "Evening Wear" category to Yasmine Mansour. Other accolades were awarded to renowned stylists and designers, showcasing the incredible talent of the region.
The Qatar-Morocco Cultural Year 2024, initiated by "Years of Culture," strengthens the historical ties between the two nations, under the guidance of their respective heads of state, His Majesty King Mohammed VI and His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani.
