Giacomo Raspadori Joins Atlético Madrid to Strengthen the Attack

Atlético Madrid officially announced the signing of Italian forward Giacomo Raspadori from SSC Napoli this Monday. He becomes the seventh addition to the Madrid club during this summer transfer window.
At 25 years old, the Italian international, who won the European Championship in 2020 and two Serie A titles with Napoli, has signed a five-year contract. According to Spanish media reports, the transfer fee is estimated to exceed 20 million euros.
A versatile player who can operate on the wings or support a central striker, Raspadori will bolster an already strong attacking line, as the Colchoneros have invested nearly 175 million euros since the beginning of the summer.
He is expected to play a backup role behind Antoine Griezmann, whose contract has been extended until 2027.
