Guinea-Bissau: Attempted Electoral Destabilization Foiled

According to local sources, the President of Guinea-Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embaló, has deployed special forces to ensure the continuation of the announcement process for election results. The President of the National Electoral Commission (CNE), who was reportedly attacked by coup plotters, has been rescued and is now safe along with other commission members.

Individuals suspected of attempting to prevent the announcement of the election results, which declared Umaro Sissoco Embaló the winner, have reportedly fled, while others have been arrested.

Furthermore, it seems that an international media destabilization campaign has been initiated by opposition figures, accompanied by false allegations. Our sources indicate that appropriate measures will be taken in due course to address this attempt at destabilization and interference.
