H.E. Princess Lalla Zineb Presides Over the General Assembly of the Moroccan League for the Protection of Children

Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Zineb, President of the Moroccan League for the Protection of Children (LMPE), chaired the General Assembly meeting of the League in Rabat on Thursday. During this meeting, the moral and financial reports for the year 2024, the action program for 2025-2026, and the auditor’s report were presented.

At the Assembly, Her Royal Highness highlighted the projects undertaken in 2024 for children without families, as part of LMPE’s strategic program, according to a statement from the League.

On this occasion, Her Royal Highness praised the unwavering commitment and continuous mobilization of all League members and stakeholders who contribute to the implementation of programs and action plans designed to strengthen protective mechanisms and improve the quality of care for beneficiaries.

Her Royal Highness also expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all the donors and partners of the League, emphasizing the importance of the agreements and cooperation partnerships that facilitate the development and expansion of care facilities for the target population in various regions of the Kingdom.

At the conclusion of the general discussions, the Assembly members unanimously approved the moral and financial reports, as well as the accounts for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2024, and the related resolutions.

Following the regular General Assembly proceedings, resolutions concerning the budget forecast for the League for the fiscal year 2025-2026, the action program for 2025-2026, the agreements signed with various partners, the action plan for establishing a unified information system tailored to the needs of existing structures, the mechanisms and tools for good governance aimed at standardizing administrative, financial, and accounting procedures, and the action program for expanding summer camps and holiday colonies for children from the League’s institutions were adopted and approved.

Her Royal Highness then presided over an extraordinary General Assembly meeting, dedicated to reviewing agenda items concerning the amendment of certain articles of the League’s general statutes and internal regulations for care centers.

The amendments primarily focused on defining the target population served by the League’s care centers (orphans, abandoned children, and children with disabilities), in accordance with the provisions of Law 15-01 concerning abandoned children, as well as on the nature of additional financial resources that will support the League’s budget.

After the unanimous approval of the aforementioned resolutions, the Assembly meeting concluded with the reading of the Royal Message of fidelity and loyalty addressed by the participants to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him.

It is noteworthy that the year 2024 saw the inauguration of three new centers in Tangier, Ouarzazate, and Guelmim, and the ongoing construction and renovation of centers in El Jadida, Casablanca, Nador, Agadir, Tit Mellil, Taroudant, Aït Melloul, M’diq, Ben Yakhlaf, and Benslimane, in line with the Vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to enhance structures that protect vulnerable children and safeguard their fundamental rights.
