Huawei Africa Night 2025 Honors the “African Intelligence Pioneers”

Huawei Africa Night 2025: Driving Intelligent Transformation in Africa
Shanghai, China, September 24, 2025 — Held on September 18 alongside HUAWEI CONNECT 2025, Huawei Africa Night 2025 took place under the theme "All Intelligence for New Africa." More than 500 partners, government representatives, experts, and industry leaders gathered to share the latest advancements in innovation and collaboration within the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector, united by a common goal: to advance the continent’s intelligent transformation.
Shen Li, President of Huawei Northern Africa, delivered the opening address. He emphasized that Africa stands at a critical turning point, shifting from simple computerization to a fully digital and intelligent era. Technological leaps are occurring across all sectors—from the absence of coverage to the deployment of 4G, 5G, and FTTH networks; from paper-based administration to smart single-window public service platforms; from cash transactions to mobile payments; and from unreliable electricity to efficient green solar energy. As a global leader in ICT and true to its commitment "In Africa, For Africa," Huawei positions itself as a reliable long-term partner. To realize the vision of "All Intelligence for New Africa," the company is implementing a framework built on three pillars: New Values, New Infrastructures, and New Ecosystems.
Under New Values, Huawei offers five inclusive solutions tailored to key scenarios: inclusive connectivity, inclusive education, inclusive public services, inclusive security, and inclusive energy. Through New Infrastructures, Huawei integrates cloud and AI, networks, and terminals to provide end-to-end solutions. In its New Ecosystem, Huawei fosters an open, collaborative, and mutually beneficial community that brings together customers, partners, and talent to accelerate the shift towards digital and intelligent operations in Africa. The company will continue to work closely with an expanded ecosystem on strategy, technology, innovation, and talent development.
The Huawei Northern Africa team then presented structured discussions around these three pillars, detailing how this framework supports Africa’s digital and intelligent transformation and facilitating exchanges with guests on current trends and best practices across the continent.
During the event, Huawei unveiled the "African Intelligence Pioneers," a recognition program that honors visionary organizations whose investments in smart technologies are already yielding tangible results.
The awardees span nine sectors — public administration, telecommunications, education, healthcare, oil & gas, mining, transport, energy, and finance — and include fourteen organizations. By adopting AI, cloud, and other advanced technologies, these entities position themselves as innovators and trailblazers, shaping new business models and tailored solutions for the continent, paving the way toward a more interconnected, digital, and intelligent Africa.
