Increase in Health Reimbursements Starting January 2026

MGPAP – The General Mutual of Public Administration Staff

The General Mutual of Public Administration Staff (MGPAP) has announced a significant enhancement to its health coverage, set to take effect on January 1, 2026. This reform pertains to reimbursable medications, medical consultations, dental care, and certain prosthetics, as part of a strategy aimed at strengthening the healthcare purchasing power of its members.

According to the official statement, the reimbursement rate for non-chronic or high-cost reimbursable medications will increase from 16% to 20%, achieving an overall coverage of 90% of the public price when combined with the mandatory health insurance contribution (AMO). This change marks a noteworthy advancement in access to routine treatments.

Additionally, MGPAP is introducing a supplementary flat rate reimbursement of 10 dirhams for each medical consultation, applicable in both public and private sectors, covering all medical records—including those related to chronic and costly illnesses—as well as dental care. This measure aims to mitigate the out-of-pocket expenses borne by beneficiaries.

In the dental sector, an additional package of 360 dirhams per tooth is now established for ceramic-ceramic crowns (CCC). This provision will raise the total reimbursement amount (AMO + complementary mutual insurance) to 2,360 dirhams per tooth, further consolidating the coverage for high-end prosthetic care.

MGPAP describes these measures as a “true social achievement,” emphasizing that they will enable members and their dependents to continue accessing quality care while reducing any remaining financial burdens.

This reform is part of implementing the decisions made by the Board of Directors, in line with strategic orientations grounded in solidarity, social assistance, and the enhancement of performance in mutual complementary insurance. It also complements a wide range of medical and social services offered through dental clinics, optical centers, consultation centers, support for children with disabilities, and social welfare initiatives.
