Casablanca to Host the Morocco Medical Expo and Global African Health Forum 2025
Under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Casablanca is set to host the new edition of the International Health Fair (Morocco Medical Expo) and the Global African Health Forum (FAGS 2025) from May 15 to 18, 2025, at the International Exhibition and Congress Center (ICEC) in Ain Sebaâ. This exceptional event will center around the theme of prevention and resilience.
This year, the event is themed "Prevention and Resilience: Towards a Sustainable Health System," featuring participation from the Ministries of Health and Social Protection, Industry and Trade, and Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation. The fair serves as a key scientific platform, bringing together both local and international health experts and professionals. It offers an opportunity to discover the latest medical and technological advancements while exchanging expertise through a series of conferences and workshops.
Strengthening Health Systems and African Partnerships
The organization of these events aligns with the government’s strategy to reform the healthcare system, shining a light on Morocco’s efforts to enhance therapeutic and preventive services. The Democratic Republic of the Congo has been selected as the guest of honor for this edition, an initiative aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and promoting a health partnership model between Morocco and Africa.
Massive Participation and a Rich Scientific Program
The expo is expected to attract over 10,000 professional visitors and 150 exhibitors from various fields including general medicine, pharmacy, medical equipment, and artificial intelligence in healthcare. More than 250 prominent figures will be present, including Moroccan and African experts, deans of medical schools, and hospital directors.
The Global African Health Forum 2025 will feature 20 scientific and institutional sessions with participation from 120 speakers, including the organization of the First International Congress on Digital Transformation and AI in Health, supervised by Professor Hicham El Medromi.
Diverse International Participation
This edition will bring together exhibitors from China, France, India, the United States, Turkey, and several African countries like Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, making this event a global hub for strengthening South-South partnerships.
Promoting Training and Reducing Brain Drain
Dr. Moulay Saïd Afif, President of the Moroccan Association of Medical Sciences, stated that this event represents an opportunity to enhance medical training and curb the emigration of doctors, estimated at about 600 practitioners per year. He emphasized the importance of improving the healthcare system, according to royal directives on social protection.
For his part, Mr. Imad Benjelloun, Director of "Atoly Vita," the event organizer, explained that the choice of the new ICEC aims to provide a better welcome for visitors and exhibitors while focusing on a quality scientific program aligned with sector developments.
Thus, the International Health Fair and the Global African Health Forum 2025 promise to be essential occasions to promote innovation and strategic partnerships in healthcare at both national and continental levels.
