Islamic Solidarity Games: Gold and Bronze Medals for Morocco

In the Islamic Solidarity Games, Moroccan swimmer Imane Houda El Barodi won the gold medal in the 50m breaststroke, while her compatriot Ahmed Yassine Fliyou secured the bronze medal in the same event on Wednesday in Riyadh.

El Barodi finished with a time of 32.23 seconds, edging out Turkish swimmer Pinar Dönmez (32.24) and Lebanese competitor Lynn El Hajj (32.68).

On the other hand, Fliyou claimed third place with a time of 28.02 seconds, in a race won by Turkish swimmer Huseyin Emre Sakci (27.37). The silver medal went to another Turkish athlete, Nusrat Allahverdi (27.71).

With these results, Morocco’s medal tally at the Games now stands at five medals: one gold, two silver, and two bronze.
