Islamic Solidarity Games: Gold and Bronze Medals for Morocco

Islamic Solidarity Games: Moroccan swimmer Imane Houda El Barodi clinched the gold medal in the 50m breaststroke, while her compatriot Ahmed Yassine Fliyou secured the bronze in the same event on Wednesday in Riyadh, during the Islamic Solidarity Games.

El Barodi triumphed with a time of 32.23 seconds, finishing ahead of Turkey’s Pinar Dönmez (32.24) and Lebanon’s Lynn El Hajj (32.68).

On his part, Fliyou took third place with a time of 28.02 seconds, in an event won by Turkey’s Huseyin Emre Sakci (27.37). Another Turkish swimmer, Nusrat Allahverdi, claimed the silver medal with a time of 27.71 seconds.

Following these results, Morocco’s medal tally at the Games now stands at five: one gold, two silver, and two bronze.
