King’s Cup Semi-Finals: Barcelona Faces Atlético, Real Madrid Takes on Real Sociedad
The draw for the Copa del Rey, held on Wednesday, has determined the matchups for the semifinals. FC Barcelona will face Atlético Madrid, while Real Madrid will take on Real Sociedad for a chance to reach the final.
FC Barcelona, the most successful club in the competition’s history with 31 trophies, will host Atlético Madrid for the first leg at the Olympic Stadium in Montjuic, before traveling to the Metropolitano for the second leg.
Meanwhile, reigning champions Real Madrid will begin their clash against Real Sociedad at Anoeta, before welcoming the Basque club for the return match at Santiago Bernabéu.
The official dates for the matches are yet to be confirmed, but the first legs are expected to take place on February 25, 26, or 27, with the second legs scheduled for April 1, 2, or 3.
The grand final of the Copa del Rey will take place on April 26 at the Olympic Stadium of La Cartuja in Seville.
