Launch of Morocco’s First Digital Platform “Guidelocal.ma” Dedicated to Domestic Tourism at Digital Now 2025

The fifth edition of the international conference Digital Now 2025, held in Casablanca, was marked by the launch of the platform “Guidelocal.ma,” the first Moroccan platform fully dedicated to domestic tourism.

This digital platform aims to connect tourists—whether residents of Morocco or foreign visitors—with tour guides and industry professionals throughout all regions of the Kingdom. It also seeks to facilitate communication among stakeholders in tourist support and guidance through innovative digital solutions based on artificial intelligence technologies.

The “Guidelocal.ma” platform allows for simple and secure booking of activities and tours, while also providing professional support services and insurance in partnership with a travel agency and tourist services. Through this initiative, the platform intends to contribute to the development of domestic tourism and enhance the quality of the tourism experience in Morocco.

On this occasion, Munir Chami, the founder of “Guidelocal.ma,” explained that participation in the fifth edition of Digital Now is part of an approach aimed at offering a Moroccan digital innovation that meets the needs of the national tourism sector, while supporting local professionals through an accessible and cost-effective digital solution.

He added that the creation of this platform is aligned with the High Royal Directions calling for the promotion of the tourism sector and the strengthening of the digital economy, emphasizing that the project responds to the growing demand for the digitalization of tourism services.

He further noted that studies conducted by the project team showed that the majority of currently available platforms are international ones that impose high commissions, which can reach up to 35%. This represents a significant burden for national professionals. “Guidelocal.ma” thus aims to position itself as a Moroccan alternative, seeking to reduce costs, ensure service quality, and highlight local actors.

He also highlighted the progress made by Morocco in the field of digital innovation and the development of technological solutions, thanks to the commitment of several national institutions and companies, praising the role of supporting organizations such as Maroc PME in assisting digital projects.

For her part, Ms. Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, the Delegate Minister in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, asserted during her visit to the exhibition stands that digital transformation is a strategic lever to enhance the competitiveness of the national economy, support innovation, and encourage the integration of startups as well as micro, small, and medium enterprises into the digital economy.

In her opening speech at the conference, the Minister emphasized that Digital Now has become a benchmark platform for training, sharing experiences, and promoting innovation, thereby contributing to the consolidation of an integrated digital ecosystem and supporting the digital transformations underway in Morocco.
