ACAPS Launches "Émergence" Program to Support Digital Transformation in Morocco’s Insurance Sector
The Insurance and Social Welfare Control Authority (ACAPS) launched the "Émergence" program on Thursday, aimed at fostering digital transformation within Morocco’s insurance sector.
This program is designed to enhance exchanges, stimulate creativity, and promote a shared vision within the market. It is based on a collaborative approach that brings together various stakeholders to engage in strategic and operational discussions, according to a statement from ACAPS.
The initiative aims to unveil innovative use cases with significant potential impact for the development of the insurance sector. Workshops will be organized from April 7 to May 30, 2025, where participants will benefit from the expertise of international professionals and insights from concrete feedback. The goal is to provide a structured framework for reflection, accompanied by technological talents to model use cases in the form of simplified prototypes.
By facilitating dialogue between experts and industry players, the "Émergence" program strengthens synergies and structures collective thinking around the challenges and opportunities associated with technological innovation. This initiative is part of a broader objective to support and anticipate market developments in the insurance sector.
With this initiative, ACAPS reinforces its commitment to proactive supervision, ensuring a balance between innovation, competitiveness, and the protection of policyholders. The program is championed by the Innovation & Insurtech unit, established in January 2023 by ACAPS, which reflects the authority’s dedication to modernizing the insurance and social welfare sector in Morocco. This unit aims to anticipate market changes, particularly the impact of digital technologies on business models and consumer expectations.
