Ligue 1: Ousmane Dembélé Crowned Best Player of the 2024-2025 Season

Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembélé has been named the Player of the Season for Ligue 1 2024-2025, according to the UNFP Trophies award ceremony held on Sunday evening. This is a significant milestone for the French international, who succeeds Kylian Mbappé, the winner for the past five consecutive seasons.
With an outstanding season under his belt, Dembélé scored 21 goals in 28 matches, showcasing consistency and effectiveness. He is also recognized as the league’s top scorer at the age of 27.
In the running for this prestigious award, he surpassed his PSG teammates Achraf Hakimi, Vitinha, and Désiré Doué, along with rising star Rayan Cherki from Olympique Lyonnais.
Having made his mark at Stade Rennais before moving to Borussia Dortmund and then FC Barcelona, Dembélé had previously been honored as Ligue 1’s Best Young Player in 2016. His recognition this season confirms his return to peak performance and his status as a key offensive player for PSG.
