Luciano Darderi Wins the 39th Edition of the Hassan II Tennis Grand Prix in Marrakech

Morocco continues to be a prominent host for sporting events, most notably with the recent conclusion of the Hassan II Tennis Grand Prix, which wrapped up on Sunday in Marrakech. This 39th edition saw the Italian Luciano Darderi triumph in the final against the Dutch player Tallon Griekspoor.
Darderi, who succeeded his compatriot Matteo Berrettini, claimed this prestigious clay court tournament after a fiercely contested final, finishing with a score of 2 sets to 0. Although Griekspoor, the top seed, frequently attempted to assert his game, he struggled to find his rhythm against a particularly focused and determined Darderi throughout the match, which lasted over two hours.
The Hassan II Grand Prix, held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, took place at the Royal Tennis Club in Marrakech. This tournament, the only ATP 250 event organized in Africa, attracted renowned players and provided the audience with a high-level competition on Moroccan clay.
