Marrakech Hosts the 23rd Edition of Officine Expo – Pharma Africa Meeting

Under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the 23rd edition of Officine Expo – Pharma Africa Meeting will take place on January 30 and 31, 2026, at the Conference Center of Palmeraie Palace in Marrakech. This significant event will once again bring together key players in the pharmaceutical sector to discuss the strategic challenges of health in Africa and the southern Mediterranean region.
For over twenty years, Officine Expo – Pharma Africa Meeting has established itself as the premier meeting grounds for pharmacy professionals. As a true platform for exchange, reflection, and cooperation, it supports the development of the African pharmaceutical sector while highlighting Morocco’s central role as a regional and continental hub for pharmacy.
The 2026 edition is expected to witness particularly notable participation, featuring 15 international delegations, including 11 from Africa (Mauritania, Mali, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Tunisia, and Chad). More than 4,500 pharmacists and healthcare professionals are anticipated to attend, engaging in a rich program comprising 51 conferences, workshops, and panel discussions led by national and international experts.
Additionally, a large-scale exhibition area will gather key players from the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and nutritional industries. This space will showcase Moroccan expertise, sector innovations, and the latest technological advancements in health.
Scientifically, this edition is set amidst a profound transformation of healthcare practices, where pharmacists reinforce their role as accessible healthcare providers, offering prevention and support to patients throughout their health journey. Several strategic panel discussions will contribute to professional reflection.
Among the key themes is women’s health in pharmacies, approached from the perspectives of advice, prevention, and innovation. Women’s health, a crucial pillar of human and socio-economic development, positions pharmacists at the heart of health education and women’s wellness across all life stages.
Mental health will also be a focal point of discussions, particularly in a panel dedicated to psychotropics and the patient journey, highlighting the importance of coordination between pharmacists and psychiatrists to ensure more humane, continuous, and effective care.
Another significant area of focus will be the substitution of medications in pharmacies, viewed as an essential lever for health system efficiency. Insights from experiences and international practices will shed light on the issues and impacts of this approach.
Finally, innovation will be represented by the Innovation Village, conceived as a true laboratory of ideas and co-creation. Bringing together 15 startups from Morocco, Africa, and France, along with experts, institutions, and healthcare professionals, this space will offer concrete, directly applicable solutions for pharmacies.
Structured around three key axes—Pharma Innovation (digitalization and artificial intelligence), Patient Innovation (patient experience, prevention, and adherence), and Care Innovation (integrative innovations and mental wellness)—the Innovation Village will particularly emphasize women’s health and integrative health, two major societal priorities.
Through its scientific dimension, international reach, and focus on innovation, Officine Expo – Pharma Africa Meeting 2026 establishes itself as a strategic venue for the future of the pharmaceutical profession, fostering synergies, expertise sharing, and the construction of a modern, efficient, and sustainable African pharmacy.
