Marrakech Holds 14th Board Meeting of Regional Investment Center

Marrakech, October 8, 2025 – The Minister Delegate to the Head of Government, in charge of Investment, Convergence, and the Evaluation of Public Policies, chaired the 14th Board of Directors meeting of the Marrakech–Safi Regional Investment Center (CRI), marking the second such meeting of 2025.

The agenda focused primarily on the amended budget for 2025, the initial budget for 2026, and the multi-annual action plan for 2026–2028.

This meeting is part of the reform of the Regional Investment Centers, implemented in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 22-24, which modifies and supplements Law No. 47-18 related to the CRI reform and the establishment of Unified Regional Investment Commissions (CRUI). This reform aims to strengthen their role in enhancing the attractiveness and support of investments.

In his opening speech, the Minister recalled the High Orientations of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, regarding the promotion and attraction of investments, emphasizing the progress made by the Marrakech–Safi region. These advancements are reflected in a significant increase in the number and volume of approved projects, demonstrating investor confidence and the relevance of the ongoing reforms.

The Acting Director of the CRI Marrakech–Safi presented the amended budget for 2025, the multi-annual forecasts, and the roadmap for 2026–2028.

The 2026 action plan is structured around six strategic axes: economic intelligence, territorial planning, investment promotion, business support, internal governance, and digitalization. This plan aims to enhance proximity to investors, simplify procedures, and facilitate the investment process while maximizing territorial potential. Among its priorities are the dissemination of economic and cartographic analyses, contributions to urban planning documents, revitalization of industrial reception zones, organization of high-impact promotional events, and establishment of structured communication with the media.

The plan also emphasizes the strengthening of project monitoring, modernization of the information system, and upskilling of internal teams in a spirit of agility and transparency.

The tri-annual roadmap for 2026–2028 outlines the medium-term perspectives for the CRI Marrakech–Safi, in alignment with the national strategy for the development of private investments. It is based on major axes such as strengthening regional economic intelligence, institutional coordination around major structuring projects, full digitalization of processes, and consolidation of territorial offerings. It also includes ongoing efforts in governance, internal audits, and strategic communication to ensure rigorous management and continuous performance evaluation.
