Marrakech: SRM-MS Puts Water at the Heart of Citizen Innovation

The Marrakech-Safi Regional Multi-Service Company (SRM-MS) will host its first Open Days from October 28 to 31, 2025, and launch the inaugural edition of its Eco-Village at the Mohammed VI Museum for Water Civilization (Aman Museum). This novel initiative aims to raise awareness about sustainable water management and foster eco-responsibility among citizens in a context marked by increasing water stress.

In alignment with the Royal Vision for water governance, SRM-MS seeks to bring citizens closer to public services while highlighting local initiatives. “Water is a shared resource; its preservation must be a collective responsibility,” emphasizes the management.

The Eco-Village, a true experimental laboratory, will feature eight thematic spaces centered around water, energy, and recycling. These spaces will be animated by educational workshops and participatory activities for young people. On October 29 and 30, the “Water & Innovation” Hackathon will showcase the creativity of students and startups, challenged to propose tangible solutions to environmental challenges.

Conferences, panels, and screenings will complement the program, bringing together experts, institutions, and economic actors. Organized in partnership with the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Mohammed VI Museum, and the Emerging Business Factory, this event marks a key milestone towards establishing a regional culture of sustainability, making Marrakech-Safi a pioneering territory for water innovation.
