French Forward Kylian Mbappé Ready to Return from Injury for Upcoming Friendlies
French forward Kylian Mbappé, a player for Real Madrid, confirmed on Monday that he has fully recovered from his recent knee injury. He expressed his readiness to participate in the upcoming friendly matches for the French national team against Brazil and Colombia.
In a statement to the media, Mbappé said, “The injury is behind me. I followed a protocol to return gradually, and the desire to play has been strong.” He added, “I hope to play during this period and be decisive on the field once again.”
Recently, he made his competitive return by coming off the bench in his club’s 2-1 victory over Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 second leg, after missing five matches. He also saw action as a substitute in the team’s 3-2 win against Atlético Madrid in La Liga.
The French national team is set to face Brazil next Thursday in Foxborough, Massachusetts, before encountering Colombia as part of their preparations for the World Cup, scheduled for this summer in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
