Mobile Consulate in Support of the Moroccan Community in Luxembourg

The Consulate General of the Kingdom of Morocco in Liège and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg has launched a mobile consulate in Luxembourg to bring consular services closer to Moroccan community members residing in the country.
This initiative aligns with the proximity policy promoted by the Consulate General for the benefit of the Moroccan community, in accordance with the High Guidelines of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and the directives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Living Abroad.
During this event, various services were provided to Moroccan nationals under the consular jurisdiction of Liège and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, including the issuance of electronic national identity cards, passports, and notarized documents.
Personalized assistance was also offered to community members, along with explanations on how to use the online appointment system. This mobile consular presence allowed members of the Moroccan diaspora to receive consultations from various consular services regarding administrative, social, and notarial matters.
Consul General Najah Dimou stated that this initiative is part of implementing Royal Guidelines aimed at improving the quality of consular services and enhancing proximity and communication with Moroccans around the world.
“Technical assistance for scheduling appointments is a means to strengthen the efficiency, transparency, and accessibility of administrative services to ensure real inclusion of citizens in the modernization process of administration. Our role is to ensure that the reforms benefit the entire community,” Dimou added.
She also affirmed that the Consulate General will continue its efforts to meet the expectations of Moroccans residing within its consular jurisdiction and to provide modern, effective, and accessible services.
In similar statements, several beneficiaries expressed their satisfaction with this initiative, which allowed them to avoid the inconveniences of traveling approximately 130 kilometers to Liège to complete certain administrative formalities.
Building on the success of this operation, the Consulate General plans to organize additional mobile consulates as part of its annual action plan, further facilitating access to consular services for the Moroccan community where they reside.
This mission also provided an opportunity for the Consul General to engage with members of the Moroccan community and representatives of local associations to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation and coordination.
