Modest Gains at the Opening of the Casablanca Stock Exchange

Casablanca Stock Exchange Shows Stability in Wednesday Session

The Casablanca Stock Exchange began Wednesday’s session with relative stability. Its main index, the MASI, recorded a slight increase of 0.01%, reaching 19,885.60 points.

The MASI 20 index, which includes the 20 most liquid stocks on the market, also rose by 0.01%, settling at 1,627.92 points. Meanwhile, the MASI ESG index, which represents companies rated highest in environmental, social, and governance metrics according to Moody’s ESG Solutions, fell by 0.12%, ending at 1,353.85 points.

The MASI Mid and Small Cap index, which assesses the performance of listed SMEs, advanced by 0.08%, reaching 1,921.49 points.

Among the top individual performances, Disty Technologies saw a significant rise of 8.60%, reaching 418 dirhams, followed by Delta Holding (+4.69% to 88.99 DH), Label Vie (+3.31% to 5,000 DH), CMGP Group (+2.44% to 420 DH), and Cosumar (+1.81% to 244.50 DH).

On the other hand, the most notable declines were recorded by Sothema (-3% to 1,780 DH), BMCI (-2.99% to 606.30 DH), Minière Touissit (-2.51% to 2,681 DH), CTM (-1.93% to 915 DH), and AtlantaSanad (-1.22% to 154.10 DH).

As a reminder, Tuesday’s session had concluded with a more pronounced increase in the MASI, up by 0.2%.
